(Jan 20/09) I love Jane Austen, and I think the movies / tv series made from various books are good too. I especially adore the version of Pride & Prejudice with Colin Firth & Jennifer Ehle; and Sense & Sensibility with Emma Thompson. Ms Austin had a great sense of humour and wrote with insight into human character and the mores of the day. I was reminded of this tonight when a rerun of Sense & Sensibility was on a channel with (thankfully) no commercials. Miss Dashwood and her sisters entertained me until midnight.
